Posters cite Bengal icons and financial dues
Several hoardings referenced prominent Bengali cultural figures such as Rabindranath Tagore and Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay.
The messages accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of insulting Bengal’s heritage and historical icons. Some banners also demanded the return of ₹1.16 lakh crore, claiming the amount was owed to the state. Other posters called on the Prime Minister to “stop insulting the icons of Bengal” and included appeals to boycott the BJP.
