A pilot working for British Airways, aged 31 years, has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police on the grounds of suspicion of secretly filming his sexual encounters with a number of women and posting the material on the internet without the womenâs knowledge.
According to the authorities, the pilot working for British Airways has been arrested on the suspicion of committing the crime of voyeurism after a complaint was made regarding the production and distribution of the videos without the knowledge of the parties involved. This came to light when one of the women involved found explicit video files on the pilotâs laptop.

Alleged âlaptop stealthâ method uncovered
According to the accounts given in the investigation report, the pilot allegedly used a concealed recording system to record videos of sexual encounters during international layovers.
The method allegedly involved putting a laptop in the room where the recording was being done, but the screen was turned off and the volume was raised to cover the sound of the recording. The recording light on the laptop was allegedly concealed. The incident was discovered when one of the women involved found a number of recorded files on the laptop. She later found out that videos of her and at least 15 other women were allegedly uploaded to online websites without their knowledge or consent.
The woman explained that she did not know she was being filmed and only found out about the recording when one of the other women involved contacted her.
Police investigation and airline response
In a statement, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 31-year-old man had been arrested as part of the investigation.
âOfficers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of voyeurism following an allegation that videos were being taken and shared without consent,â police said. âThe man has been released on bail while inquiries continue.â

British Airways confirmed that the pilot had been grounded pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.
Additional probe into substance misuse claims
Alongside the voyeurism investigation, authorities are also examining allegations that the pilot misused cocaine.
The UK Civil Aviation Authority said it is looking into the matter and will determine whether any action should be taken regarding the pilotâs licence. Sources within the airline said the case has triggered internal discussions about staff conduct during international layovers and safety policies affecting crew members.
