Maddock Films has officially announced the release date of Cocktail 2, giving fans the first glimpse of the upcoming sequel. The announcement featured a poster with a blurred appearance of Kriti Sanon, sparking curiosity among moviegoers. The film also stars Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna and is scheduled to release in theatres on June 19, 2026.
First look to arrive with Dhurandhar Part 2 previews
Along with the release date, the makers revealed that the first look of Cocktail 2 will be unveiled in theatres on Wednesday, March 18. The preview will be attached to the paid previews of Dhurandhar Part 2, which is also set to hit theatres on the same day.
This means audiences will have to watch the film in theatres to see the initial glimpse of the sequel.
Shahid Kapoor confirms release date
Actor Shahid Kapoor shared the announcement on social media on March 13. Posting a photo of himself that appears to be from the film, he confirmed that Cocktail 2 will arrive in cinemas on June 19, 2026.
The text on the image read, "First look this Wednesday. Only in theatres. Cocktail 2 releasing in cinemas worldwide 19th June 2026."
Along with the photo, Shahid wrote in the caption, "For more info, make your way to the theatres this Wednesday, March 18."
In the picture, Shahid is seen sitting inside a car wearing sunglasses and a printed shirt.
Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna also shared the blurred pictures of them with the same caotion.
The shooting of Cocktail 2 was completed in January 2026. On January 31, the makers officially announced the wrap of the film’s shoot. Filmmaker Homi Adajania shared a celebratory moment from the sets on Instagram, posting a cheerful picture of the team marking the occasion together.

In the photo, Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Kriti Sanon and Homi Adajania are seen cutting a cake to celebrate the completion of filming. The image featured the message, “#filmwrap Love you fools. Fun was had!”
Sharing the post, the director wrote in the caption, “Cocktail2 shoot wrapped. I may be biased, but this one feels a tad special. Big love to my fab crew & cast for tolerating the absurdity that I am. Love you guys.”
Homi Adajania, who directed the original Cocktail in 2012 starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, is returning to helm the sequel.
