The momentum from the week's first trading session was lost on Tuesday. After several consecutive days of significant losses, the market had recovered by more than 1 per cent on Monday. On Monday, it had risen by 1.26 per cent or 938.93 points. Nifty had also gained 257.70 points. That momentum was somewhat visible at the very beginning of Tuesday's market opening.
On this day, Sensex rose 511.46 points to touch 76014.31 points at one point. Nifty also crossed the 23500 point mark. But then the index fell again. Around 11:30 AM, Sensex dropped 104.93 points. From then until after 1:15 PM, the market did not fluctuate much. However, Bank Nifty saw a slight decline. Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices showed slight gains during this period.

Though the market overall lacked momentum on this day, some stocks have shown good gains so far. This list includes Zomato (Eternal). It increased by 4.35 per cent. Tata Steel, Tata Power, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindustan Zinc, and Jindal Steel also rose.
Companies like Wipro, Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Green Energy, Siemens Energy India, Bajaj Finance, and Cipla took major hits. Power Grid, Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum, and several other companies were also affected.
