The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has released the Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment notification for 2026, inviting applications for 51 vacancies across multiple disciplines.
According to the official notification, eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official SSB website — ssb.gov.in — from March 21 to April 20, 2026.

The recruitment drive offers opportunities for candidates seeking positions in the Group B cadre of the paramilitary force.
Applicants will be selected through a multi-stage process that includes physical tests, written examination, document verification and a medical examination.
Vacancy details and eligibility criteria
The recruitment drive includes vacancies in three specialised posts.
Post-wise vacancy list
Sub-Inspector (Staff Nurse) — 10 vacancies
Sub-Inspector (Pioneer) — 21 vacancies
Sub-Inspector (Communication) — 20 vacancies
Candidates applying for these posts must possess a degree or diploma in the relevant field, as specified in the detailed notification.
The age limit for applicants is 18 to 30 years as of April 20, 2026, according to the recruitment notice.
Application fee and process
Candidates from General, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹200.
However, SC, ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates are exempted from paying the fee, the notification states.
