Singer Jasmine Sandlas has revealed an unusual last-minute creative process behind one of the most talked-about tracks from Dhurandhar: The Revenge. She shared that Jaiye Sajana was completed in the early hours of the same day the album was launched.

The Dhurandhar: The Revenge soundtrack, composed by Shashwat Sachdev, has been widely appreciated for complementing the film’s intense spy-thriller narrative. In a recent conversation with Humans of Bombay, Sandlas said she has lent her voice to five tracks in the album, including Shararat and Main Aur Tu.

A song created hours before release

Recalling the moment, Sandlas said the team was still working on Jaiye Sajana at 4 am on the day of the launch. “We were in the studio at 4 am… recording and writing the song the same day the album launched. The day we performed it was the day it was recorded,” she said.

She added that parts of the composition had been written earlier, but the track came together fully only at the last minute. According to her, the song stood out because it captured the emotional undercurrent of the film particularly the theme of loneliness and betrayal.

Sandlas also credited singer Satinder Sartaaj for elevating the track with his rendition of the hook, which she said audiences have particularly connected with.

Music that matches the film’s emotional core

The soundtrack has emerged as one of the defining elements of the Aditya Dhar directorial, with listeners praising how the songs align with the film’s narrative and character arcs.

Sandlas, in an earlier social media post, described working on the album as a transformative experience, crediting composer Sachdev for pushing her creatively through long studio sessions and sleepless nights.
