Actor Ranveer Singh endured extreme heat and physically demanding conditions while filming the climax of Dhurandhar 2, according to details shared by the film’s prosthetic team.
The action sequence, which forms one of the film’s key moments, was shot over 15–20 days on the outskirts of Ludhiana under temperatures touching 47–48 degrees Celsius.
In an interview with NDTV, makeup and prosthetic artist Karandeep Singh from Da Makeup Lab described the conditions on set. “There was not a single tree or shade anywhere,” he said, recalling how heat radiated off surrounding metal surfaces, including containers, vehicles and stationary goods trains.

Heat, heavy costume and high-intensity action
The sequence was filmed in an industrial setup, adding to the intensity of the shoot. According to Karandeep, Singh performed action scenes in a layered costume that included a Pathani suit, leather jacket and overcoat
“The fight sequence had Ranveer jumping from one container to another. The containers were literally burning in the heat,” he said.
Adding to the discomfort, the actor also wore a wig throughout the shoot. Karandeep compared it to “wearing a woollen cap” in peak summer conditions.
Bucket of blood used in the shoot
Moreover, the prosthetic crew also shared about the extent of visuals that had to be done to achieve perfection in this sequence.
“The amount of blood we used on Ranveer every day was unbelievable. We finished a full bucket of blood in a week,” said Karandeep, talking about blood used in the shoot.
Moreover, the material’s texture also made it quite uncomfortable when it got dried, especially under such scorching heat.
Even then, Singh didn’t lose his calm during this shoot. “Fans and ACs were there, but nothing was working because of the heat. It was so hot that we couldn’t even eat properly,” he said.

Film continues strong box office run
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has maintained a strong run at the box office since its release in December 2025. This movie starring R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sanjay Dutt has been one of the most commercially successful movies recently released.
The sequel beat the total lifetime box office collections of the first movie within days after its release owing to its high-quality action scenes.
