Actor Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela have been blessed with twins-a baby boy and a baby girl. The happy news was shared by Ram Charan’s father, veteran actor Chiranjeevi Konidela, who informed fans that both the mother and the babies are doing well.
Announcing the birth news Chiranjeevi wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “With immense joy and a heart full of gratitude, we are happy to share that @AlwaysRamCharan and @upasanakonidela have been blessed with twins – a baby boy and a baby girl. Both the babies and the mother are healthy and doing well. Welcoming these little ones into our family is a moment of pure joy and divine blessing for us as grandparents. We sincerely thank everyone for their prayers, love, blessings and good wishes – Chiranjeevi & Surekha (sic).”
Second time parents
Upasana had announced her second pregnancy in October 2025, after which the family hosted a grand baby shower celebration. The couple had earlier welcomed their first child, daughter Klin Kara, in 2023, ten years after their marriage.
Ram Charan and Upasana tied the knot in June 2012 after getting engaged in December 2011. The two were friends for several years before their relationship turned into marriage. Upasana is the granddaughter of Prathap C Reddy, founder of Apollo Hospitals, while Ram Charan is the son of megastar Chiranjeevi.
Following the announcement, the couple has been flooded with congratulatory messages from friends, colleagues and fans across the film industry.
