The autorickshaw driver, Tauseef Ahmed, and two motorcyclists, Vishal and Sonu Tripathi, suffered injuries. According to the complaint lodged by Ahmed, the police initially registered a case against an “unidentified driver” under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita for negligent driving and threat to life. Later, the police identified the driver’s identity as Shivam Mishra.
Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal confirmed that the luxury vehicle has been seized. He stated that Mishra had been driving the vehicle at the time and that he had been pulled from the vehicle by private security personnel who were accompanying him.
Claims, videos and medical angle
Witnesses described a severe impact, claiming the motorcycle rider was flung several feet into the air. Videos trending on social media show the security personnel smashing the window of the car and pulling Mishra out of the driver's seat.
Some bystanders allege that there appeared to be an attempt to move him away from the incident, which caused a fight. The police stated that they would verify any claims of the consumption of liquor through medical and forensic tests. It is also being investigated whether the driver suffered from some kind of seizure that caused the accident.

Mishra’s family has stated he suffered a seizure while driving. “He has been suffering from these episodes for the last six months,” a family member told the police. His lawyer, however, has argued that a chauffeur was driving and that Mishra’s health condition is fragile.
