Reports of supply constraints have led to long queues for LPG refills in several major Indian cities. However, consumers do not necessarily need to stand in line at distributor offices. Oil marketing companies offer several convenient booking methods, including WhatsApp, mobile apps, missed calls, IVRS and online platforms.

Here is a simple guide on how to book LPG refills through Indane, HP Gas and Bharat Gas.

Indane LPG booking options

Customers using Indane LPG can book a refill through multiple channels such as WhatsApp, SMS or IVRS, missed calls, mobile applications and online services.

To place a booking through WhatsApp, users need to save the official Indane WhatsApp booking number 7588888824 on their phone. After saving the number, they can open WhatsApp and send the message "REFILL" from their registered mobile number. Once the system verifies the details, the refill request is processed and a confirmation message is sent to the user.

Apart from WhatsApp, Indane also allows customers to book cylinders through SMS or IVRS services, the missed call booking facility and the Indane mobile application.

The company also operates an LPG emergency helpline number 1906, which can be used to report safety-related concerns.

Additional digital services offered by Indane include preferred time delivery, online portability of LPG connections and the Sahaj platform for payments related to new connections and refill deliveries.

HP Gas cylinder booking methods

HP Gas customers also have several booking options. Refills can be booked through IVRS, missed calls, WhatsApp, mobile applications and online services.

Customers can dial the IVRS number 88888 23456 from their registered mobile number to place a refill request. Another option is to give a missed call on 94936 02222 from the registered number.

For WhatsApp bookings, customers can send a "Hi" message to 92222 01122 from their registered mobile number to begin the process.

Bookings can also be completed through the HP Pay mobile application, the UMANG app, the official website myhpgas.in, or through payment platforms such as Amazon, Paytm and PhonePe under the bill payment section.

Customers may also visit their local HP Gas distributor or customer service centre to place a booking.

Bharat Gas refill booking process

Bharat Gas customers can book LPG cylinders through the Bharatgas mobile application available for both Android and iPhone users.

The application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store by searching for "Bharatgas".

Once installed, new users can explore services such as applying for a new gas connection or locating nearby distributors. Existing customers must activate the app by selecting the "activate" option and entering their registered mobile number linked to their LPG consumer ID.

After submitting the details, an activation code is sent via SMS. Entering the code completes the activation process. Once activated, the app allows users to book refills, make payments, track refill history, register complaints and access other services.
