You don't pay the same attention to your feet as you do to your face and neck. Yet all the day's pressure falls on the feet. The most dirt accumulates on the soles. Tanning also occurs. Just washing with soap and water doesn't clean the feet properly.

The heels and toes remain dark. The same problem appears on the knees as well. Since the skin in these areas is thick, removing stains requires considerable effort. Getting a pedicure at a parlor every month isn't feasible either. Instead, learn some home remedies that will make the skin smooth and eliminate stains.

How to remove dark spots from soles and heels?

Use tomato juice

Tomatoes contain vitamin C, which helps clear stains. You can mix tomato juice with milk cream for use. Milk contains lactic acid, which helps exfoliate the skin. Mix 1 tablespoon of tomato juice with 2 tablespoons of milk cream. Apply this mixture to your feet. Wash off with water after half an hour. You can use this 2-3 times a week.

Do this before bathing

You clean your hands and feet with soap as soon as you return home. But even then, countless dead cells and dirt remain accumulated on the feet. So apply sour yogurt to your feet before bathing. Sour yogurt contains lactic acid, which cleans away layers of dead cells. Apply sour yogurt to your feet and sit for 10 minutes. Then take your bath. Following this routine for a full month will gradually eliminate dark spots.

Apply this after washing feet

Applying moisturizer after bathing or washing feet is essential. However, mixing aloe vera gel with moisturizer provides better benefits. Aloe vera gel retains skin moisture while removing dark spots.

Baking soda can save time

Baking soda isn't just useful in the kitchen. This ingredient is also excellent for removing stubborn skin stains. Mix equal amounts of baking soda and water together. Apply the mixture to your feet before bathing. Leave it on for fifteen minutes, then wash your feet. Doing this twice a week will show that the dark stains have disappeared.

Turmeric can also remove stains

Mix turmeric powder with olive oil. Apply this paste to your feet. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then wash off. Using this mixture 2-3 times a week will eliminate stains.
