Plot twist for KKR, luck runs dry as the stalwart bowling lineup which was looking promising because of the pace bowling group, is now looking to fade, after Harshit Rana, Bengal boy and England heroics member Akash Deep ruled out from IPL due to injury. He became the fourth fast bowler who is going to miss the IPL for KKR.
With Pathirana yet to get the NOC from the Sri Lankan cricket board, KKR is already looking weak. Though, it is expected that Pathirana will get his clearance by the middle of April. KKR has already called Simarjeet Singh and Navdeep Saini as net bowlers; they have confirmed in the press conference that they will only announce the replacements after the second practice match.

In the first practice match, young Indian bowler Kartik Tyagi and batter Sarthak Ranjan looked promising while among the senior members, Angkrish Raghuvanshi smashed a century and Rinku Singh played a trailblazing innings. Capped Umran Malik and Varun Chakravarthy showed good resilience.
What is going to happen now for KKR?
As the fast bowling lineup has broken, they have to find the right balance with the remaining options, Kartik Tyagi is one of the good bowlers who knocked on the door of the Indian cricket team and Umran Malik also has a bit of international experience but neither of them has done so in recent matches.

They have tested two Delhi boys, Simarjeet Singh, and India-capped bowler Navdeep Saini. If they are thinking of regrouping the pace bowling core Sunil Kumar from Jammu and Kashmir and Sourabh Kumar from Andhra could be the other options.
What will be the combination with the current status?
With a destructive batting unit and a destructive spin bowling unit KKR can still hope for a bright future. If everything goes well from now on, their potential 12 can look like this-
Tim Seifert(WK), Finn Allen, Ajinkya Rahane(C), Angkrish Raghubhanshi, Cameron Green, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh, Sunil Narine, Vaibhab Arora, Umran Malik, Karthik Tyagi, Impact sub- Anukul Roy/Sarthak Ranjan.
