Hyundai Motor India has introduced the updated version of the Verna sedan in the Indian market, strengthening its position in the competitive mid-size sedan segment. The refreshed model comes with several cosmetic tweaks, additional features and improved safety technology, while retaining its petrol engine options. Prices for the sedan start at ₹10.98 lakh and go up to ₹18.25 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant and transmission choice.
Design and interior upgrades
The updated Verna gets subtle changes to its exterior styling, including refreshed lighting elements, revised bumper design and updated alloy wheels that enhance the sedan’s overall look. The car continues to maintain its sleek profile with a coupe-like roofline and sporty stance. Inside the cabin, Hyundai has equipped the sedan with a more modern layout and improved technology. The interior now features dual 10.25-inch displays for the infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster, giving the dashboard a more premium and connected feel. The system also supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with other connected-car features aimed at improving convenience and usability. Comfort and convenience features continue to be a strong point for the Verna, with premium upholstery, advanced climate control functions and improved cabin ergonomics designed to enhance the driving and passenger experience.

Engine options and safety features
The updated Verna continues with two petrol engine options — a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated MPi engine and a more powerful 1.5-litre turbo-petrol GDi unit. These engines are offered with multiple transmission choices, including manual and automatic options, allowing buyers to select a configuration that suits their driving preferences. Safety remains a key focus in the latest update. The sedan now offers a broader set of safety features, including multiple airbags, electronic stability systems and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). These additions are intended to improve both driver confidence and passenger protection.
With the latest update, the Hyundai Verna aims to remain a strong contender in the mid-size sedan segment, competing with rivals such as the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
