Massive python cluster spotted in Himachal—video leaves villagers stunned | WATCH

A viral video from Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district shows multiple large pythons entwined together in a forest area, leaving locals shocked and concerned.

An alarming video of massive pythons entwined together from Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district is going viral. The clip shows a large number of pythons congregated together in a forested area. The video was taken near a remote community in the district where villagers saw and filmed the unusual sight.

The sighting reportedly took place near the Kalothare Wali Mata temple in the Gahliyan area and people initially mistook the pythons as a cluster of tree roots. However, when a stone was thrown towards it, the people noticed movement and within seconds saw the snakes slithering away. The locals claimed that there were at least five to six pythons resting together.

The video has left many people shocked and intrigued. Although wildlife experts think that this phenomenon can occur naturally in certain seasons, the sight of many large snakes moving together has caused a lot of concern among local residents in Himachal Pradesh and sparked significant online discussion.

A large snake cluster discovered

There were sightings of multiple gigantic serpents entwined together, near wooded and rocky regions, in the remote areas of Kangra. The peasants who lived in close proximity to these woodlands were extremely frightened after seeing the massive cluster of these serpents.

While some wondered if these snakes were dangerous and would a make a move toward the adjacent residences, most people expressed disbelief and fear.



The nature of behaviour as indicated by experts

According to the experts, some of the times that pythons congregate in one area due to mating season or changing weather conditions; therefore, the Forest department has been informing people to not be alarmed and to try to leave the wildlife alone.

Officials have asked residents of villages that are adjacent to forestlands to try and remain calm and not enter deep into the forest unnecessarily. Officials also explained that snakes do not typically bite unless threatened.
