West Bengal Police raided former TMC MLA and Janata Unnayan Party founder Humayun Kabir's home and arrested his son. He formed the new party immediately after being expelled from Trinamool Congress. The police raided Humayun Kabir's house on Sunday. His son, Golam Nabi Azad alias Robin, has been arrested on charges of assaulting Humayun's personal security guard. Allegations have been raised against him for beating the security guard. A large police force went to Shaktipura in Murshidabad to investigate this incident. Retaliating against the police, Humayun said, "If the police behave indecently, we will lay siege to the police superintendent."

The allegation against Humayun Kabir's son

Humayun's personal security officer, Jumma Khan, lodged a complaint at Shaktipura police station. He had asked for leave, saying he would go to his village home. But allegedly, upon hearing this, Humayun's son Robin pounced on him. Jumma Khan also alleged that he was severely beaten.

The security guard further claimed that Humayun Kabir's office is on the ground floor. Jumma alleged that Humayun's son beat him in front of everyone. After this, the police went to Humayun's house to look into the matter. Police interrogated his son for about half an hour. Then he was arrested.
