In just a week, 'Dhurandhar The Revenge' has proudly crossed the Rs 1000-crore mark worldwide. The spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar and led by Ranveer Singh, has emerged as one of the fastest films to reach the milestone. It is now the second-fastest Indian film to do so, behind Pushpa 2, which achieved the feat in six days.

Strong opening drives early momentum

The film hit theatres on Thursday following a record-breaking premiere on Wednesday. Strong paid previews and a massive opening weekend helped it collect over Rs 100 crore domestically within its first three days. By the end of the opening weekend, the worldwide total had already reached Rs 750 crore, marking one of the biggest starts in Indian cinema.

During the weekdays, the film held steady with minimal drops on Monday and Tuesday. A slowdown was seen on Wednesday, when it recorded a 16 per cent dip and earned Rs 47.70 crore net in India. This pushed its domestic total to Rs 623 crore net (Rs 745 crore gross), with projections indicating it could cross Rs 700 crore in India by Friday.

Overseas performance remains strong

Internationally, the film has performed strongly as well. It opened with $7 million and collected over $22 million during its first weekend overseas. While weekday numbers saw a dip, collections remained consistent. On Wednesday, it added $1.5 million, taking the total overseas earnings to $28.5 million (around Rs 261 crore).

With combined domestic and overseas figures, the film's worldwide collection now stands at Rs 1,006 crore. It also crossed the $100 million mark globally, becoming one of the few Bollywood films to achieve this benchmark.

Breaches Rs 1,000-crore mark

Dhurandhar 2 has reached the Rs 1000-crore club quicker than several major Indian films. It surpassed the pace of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which took nine days to hit the mark. It has also outperformed titles like RRR, KGF Chapter 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Pathaan and Jawan in terms of collection speed.

The film is expected to cross the global earnings of Pathaan and Kalki 2898 AD (both around Rs 1,050 crore) in the coming days, continuing its strong run at the box office.
