The 98th Academy Awards, one of the most prestigious celebrations of global cinema, will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Ovation Hollywood, Los Angeles. The ceremony will be hosted by popular comedian and television personality Conan O’Brien, bringing together some of the biggest names in the film industry.
Major nominees this year
The Best Picture category features several highly anticipated films, including Sinners, One Battle After Another, F1: The Movie, Frankenstein, Hamnet, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, Sentimental Value, The Secret Agent and Train Dreams.
Ryan Coogler’s Sinners has already made history by receiving 16 nominations, the highest ever for a single film at the Oscars.
In the Best Actor category, nominees include Timothée Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaprio, Ethan Hawke, Michael B. Jordan and Wagner Moura.
For Best Actress, contenders include Jessie Buckley, Byrne, Renate Reinsve, Emma Stone and Kate Hudson.
Other categories, such as Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress, also feature major names including Jacob Elordi, Sean Penn, Benicio Del Toro, Stellan Skarsgård, Delroy Lindo, Elle Fanning and Teyana Taylor.

Oscars broadcast details in the United States
In the United States, the main Oscars ceremony will begin at 7:00 PM ET / 4:00 PM PT, with the red carpet coverage starting at 3:30 PM ET / 12:30 PM PT.
The ceremony will be aired on ABC, the official broadcast partner. It will also be available for live streaming on Hulu, marking the first time the platform will offer a simultaneous live stream of the awards. Additionally, viewers can watch through live TV services such as YouTube TV, FuboTV and DirecTV Stream.
When and where to watch the Oscars in India
Due to the time difference, viewers in India will be able to watch the Oscars ceremony in the early hours of Monday, March 16, 2026.
For Indian audiences, the red carpet coverage will begin at 3:30 AM IST, followed by the main awards ceremony at 4:30 AM IST.
The event will be broadcast on television through Star Movies, Star Movies Select and Colors Infinity. Viewers can also watch the ceremony online via JioHotstar, which will stream the Oscars live.
