Couple arrested for snatching in South Delhi
The accused have been identified as Vishal Gupta and Shivani Murmu. According to police officials, the duo targeted pedestrians in crowded areas and snatched mobile phones and jewellery before fleeing the spot. Police said the suspects often chose busy streets where people were distracted, which made it easier for them to commit the crime and escape quickly.
Several cases solved after their arrest
Investigators said the arrest of the duo helped solve multiple snatching cases reported in South Delhi. The police had been tracking them for some time after receiving repeated complaints about a man-woman pair involved in such crimes. During the investigation, officers analysed CCTV footage and other evidence to identify the suspects. After tracing their movements, the police team managed to locate and arrest them.

Officials said the duo mainly targeted people walking alone on roads and markets, quickly snatching valuables before escaping. Their arrest is expected to help police uncover more details about other similar incidents in the area.
