Delhi residents witnessed a drop in the temperature during the day on Tuesday, March 31, due to rain in various areas of the city. According to the India Meteorological Department, the unstable weather pattern is expected to continue during the week with a forecast of a cloudy sky expected to last until April 6.
The capital is expected to receive very light to light rain during the next few days, with the presence of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds of up to 40 kmph during the evening and night hours. This pattern of weather is expected to return on April 3 and 4.
While the rain may provide some relief, the temperature is expected to rise over the next three days by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature over the last 24 hours has reduced by 1 to 2 degrees, while the minimum temperature remained constant between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius. The day temperatures have remained consistent between 33 and 34 degrees Celsius.

These areas include Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, western Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. These areas are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and winds varying from 30 to 50 km/h.
According to the IMD, these activities are expected to increase over time due to a fresh western disturbance. Between April 3 and April 6, rainfall or snowfall is expected to occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
