Imagine taking a break from your busy life and going to the world’s happiest country for free. Finland is allowing travellers to experience its peaceful lifestyle and natural beauty. The week-long trip offers relaxation, connection, and a slower pace of life.

What is the free Finland trip?

Finland is inviting six lucky pairs for a seven-day holiday in Lakeland this June. The trip mainly focuses on wellbeing, nature, and relaxation. Travellers can enjoy lakeside views, wooden cottages, saunas, and calm, unhurried days. To India Today, Heli Jimenez, senior director, International Marketing at Business Finland, said in a statement, “In an increasingly hectic world that expects us to be constantly online, chilling like a Finn is about rediscovering balance that many Finns consider a core part of their lives. It’s a mindset that’s deeply rooted in Finnish life: unplugging, slowing down and allowing nature to do its work. We want to share this experience with travellers seeking meaningful, restorative travel and a gentler pace amidst a hectic modern life.”

The trip includes fun activities like biking, paddleboarding, kayaking, and river rafting. Travellers can also enjoy local food, relaxing saunas, and scenic road trips. A rental car will be provided, so one traveller must carry a valid driving licence. The journey begins in Helsinki on June 11, followed by a stay in the Lakeland region. Participants return to Helsinki on June 17 before heading back home.

How to apply and eligibility:

To apply, participants must create a video answering what they imagine a Finnish summer would look like. The video should be posted on Instagram or TikTok and submitted with an application form. The last date to apply is March 29, 2026. Applicants must be over 18, not Finnish, and comfortable speaking English. They should also be open to sharing their experience on camera.
