Manchester United defeated Aston Villa 3–1 at Old Trafford as the hosts produced a strong second-half performance to secure an important Premier League victory.

Manchester United produced an impressive second-half display to defeat Aston Villa 3–1 in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford. After a goalless first half, the match came alive in the second period as United took control of the game and scored three goals to secure the win in front of their home supporters.

Casemiro gives United the breakthrough

United opened the scoring in the 53rd minute when Casemiro headed the ball into the net from a corner delivered by Bruno Fernandes. The goal lifted the tempo of the match and gave the home side momentum. However, Villa responded soon after and managed to find the equaliser in the 64th minute. Ross Barkley scored for the visitors after a well-worked move, bringing the score level and briefly putting pressure back on United.

Cunha and Sesko seal the victory

United regained their lead in the 71st minute when Matheus Cunha finished a smart attacking move. Fernandes once again played a key role, providing the assist with a well-timed through ball. The hosts extended their advantage in the 81st minute when substitute Benjamin Šeko scored to make it 3–1 and effectively seal the victory.

Bruno Fernandes was one of the standout performers of the match, contributing two assists and controlling the midfield for United throughout the game. The win strengthened United’s position in the league table and kept them firmly in the race for a top-four finish this season. Manchester United will now look to carry this momentum into their upcoming fixtures as they continue their push for a Champions League spot.
