A five-foot-long “Dhamin” snake, commonly known as the Indian rat snake, was found inside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai and was later safely rescued without any injuries or damage.

How poisonous was the snake?

According to reports, the non-venomous snake was spotted slithering inside the luxury residential premises, prompting immediate action from authorities. A snake wrangler was called to the spot to safely handle the situation. In the evening, a police constable on duty informed snake-rescue expert Vicky Dubey about the incident.

Soon after receiving the information, Dubey reached the apartment complex and carried out the rescue operation using proper safety precautions. The nearly five-foot-long snake was safely captured and removed from the premises. The matter was also reported to the Bandra West Police Station and the Forest Department control room.

Officials confirmed that no one was injured during the operation and the entire situation remained under control throughout the rescue process. Following the incident, an official diary entry was also made at the Bandra West Police Station.

The “Dhamin” snake, also referred to as the Indian rat snake, is one of the most commonly found non-venomous snakes in India. It usually feeds on rats, frogs, lizards and other small animals and is generally considered harmless to humans.
