Satirical skit shows Starmer ‘panicking’ over Trump call

The clip is from the premiere of a British adaptation of Saturday Night Live. In the sketch, actor George Fouracres plays Starmer inside 10 Downing Street, appearing visibly nervous at the prospect of speaking to Trump.

In one scene, the fictional Starmer asks, “What if Donald shouts at me?” before abruptly hanging up the phone after the call connects. The skit portrays him as trying to balance diplomatic pressure while expressing unease over Trump’s personality.

The character also remarks that he wants to “keep him happy,” reflecting tensions around the UK’s stance on US military actions in West Asia. Trump shared the video without any caption.

Earlier this month, President Donald Trump expressed disappointment over the UK’s decision not to allow US warplanes to use UK bases to carry out strikes. He said that this was a “big mistake” on the part of Starmer, who he said was not as effective a leader as Winston Churchill, who was the UK Prime Minister. Despite this, President Donald Trump has said that Starmer is “a nice man.”
