The National Testing Agency (NTA) has reopened the application window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2, offering another opportunity to candidates who were unable to complete their registration or fee payment earlier. The application portal will open in the afternoon today and remain available until March 13, 2026, at 9 pm.
Candidates who wish to apply must complete their registration before the deadline. The last date for paying the application fee is March 13, 2026, at 11:50 pm.

Applicants can submit their forms through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students who had already registered for Session 1 can log in using their existing credentials, while new applicants will have to complete fresh registration.
Exam dates and eligibility
According to the official schedule, the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 examination will be held from April 2 to April 9, 2026. Admit cards for the examination are expected to be released three to four days before the exam begins.
Students who passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination in 2024 or 2025, as well as those appearing in 2026, are eligible to apply for the exam. There is no age limit for candidates appearing in JEE Main 2026 Session 2.

Application process for existing candidates
Candidates who had already applied and paid the examination fee for the January session and wish to appear in Session 2 need to log in using their previous application number and password.
After logging in, they must select several details, including the course or paper they wish to appear for, the medium of the question paper, state code of eligibility, preferred examination cities and their educational qualification details for Class 10 and Class 12. They will also need to complete the required fee payment.

JEE Main is a key national-level entrance examination for admission to engineering institutions such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). It also acts as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which determines admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
