Actor Nimisha Nair has raised concerns about public safety after sharing details of an alleged harassment incident in Mumbai's Bandra East. The actor posted about the experience on social media, tagging Mumbai Police and calling attention to the situation she faced during an early morning cab ride.

What happened on the highway

According to her post, the incident took place around 4.50 am near Kherwadi Flyover. Nimisha Nair described how two men on a scooter began chasing her cab after the driver overtook them.

"At nearly 4.50 am, near Kherwadi Flyover, two possibly drunk, aggressive hooligans decided to teach my Uber driver a 'lesson' for overtaking them. There are cameras all over WEH to clarify this," she wrote.

The situation escalated quickly, with the men allegedly attempting to stop the cab on a no-stop highway.

"They tried to block our way on a no-stop highway, eventually bringing their scooter to a halt in front of us in the middle of the highway, threatened my driver with rage-'Teri maa ch*** dunga'-tried to forcefully pull the doors open and asked me to roll down the windows," she added.

Nair said that neither she nor the driver complied, citing safety concerns. She further stated that the men continued their aggressive behaviour before leaving the scene.

"We obviously did none of that on account of our safety, because he clearly came to hit the driver. This harassment and aggression ensued in the middle of the highway with multiple witnesses, before they realised I took a video and they attempted to take a picture of my car before going on their way."

Similar experience earlier this year

The actor also shared that this was not an isolated incident and recalled facing a similar situation earlier this year while travelling in Colaba, for which she had filed an FIR.
