The Andhra Pradesh government has released its Job Calendar 2026, announcing 10,060 government vacancies across multiple departments. The announcement, made on the occasion of Ugadi, is being seen as a major step towards fulfilling promises made to the youth.
The state has already conducted large recruitment drives in recent months, including police hiring and the Mega DSC for teachers. With this new calendar, the government has now outlined upcoming opportunities in several other departments, helping candidates plan their preparation in advance.

Department-wise vacancies and timeline
According to the calendar, recruitment notifications will be released in phases throughout the year:
May 15, 2026: Higher Education Department – 1,500 posts
August 15, 2026: Group 1 – 91 posts; Home Department – 2,778 posts; Other Departments – 928 posts
September 15, 2026: Group 2 – 750 posts; Engineering – 503 posts; Other Departments – 506 posts
October 15, 2026: School and Intermediate Education – 3,004 posts
These announcements include a wide range of roles such as Group 1 and Group 2 services, teaching jobs, engineering posts and uniformed services.
Naipunyam portal and government push
To streamline the recruitment process, the government has asked candidates to complete a one-time registration on the “Naipunyam” portal. This will allow aspirants to receive real-time updates on notifications, exam dates and admit cards.
The government also said that releasing a job calendar on Ugadi will now become a regular practice, aimed at improving transparency and boosting confidence among job seekers.
Earlier, the state conducted a Mega DSC, filling over 16,000 teacher posts, and recruited more than 6,000 constables in the police department. The new calendar includes another 2,778 posts in the Home Department, which may cover constable and sub-inspector roles.

Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to youth employment. He noted that over 30,607 government jobs have been provided in the past 20 months and assured that the newly announced vacancies will be filled within the stipulated time.
He also urged aspirants to focus on their preparation, highlighting opportunities across Group 1, Group 2, engineering, teaching and uniformed services.
With clear timelines and a large number of vacancies, the 2026 job calendar is expected to provide direction and motivation to thousands of job seekers across Andhra Pradesh.
