Liverpool thrash Galatasaray 4-0 to storm into Champions League quarter-finals

Liverpool produced a dominant comeback win over Galatasaray to reach the Champions League quarter-finals with a 4-1 aggregate victory.

Liverpool F.C. delivered a powerful performance to beat Galatasaray S.K. 4-0 at Anfield, overturning a 1-0 first-leg deficit to win the tie 4-1 on aggregate and reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool overturn deficit with dominant display at Anfield

The home side started strongly, with Dominik Szoboszlai opening the scoring in the 25th minute. Liverpool created several chances in the first half and could have extended their lead, but Mohamed Salah saw his penalty saved before the break. After halftime, Liverpool completely took control of the match. Hugo Ekitike doubled the lead early in the second half, followed quickly by a third goal from Ryan Gravenberch. Salah then sealed the win with a fine strike, marking his 50th goal in the competition. Galatasaray struggled to cope with Liverpool’s pace and attacking intensity, managing very few chances as the hosts dominated throughout the second half.

Salah milestone and PSG clash await Liverpool

Salah’s goal was a major moment in the match, as he became the first African player to reach 50 goals in the Champions League. The strike also helped him recover from his earlier missed penalty and capped off a strong team performance. The result sets up a quarter-final clash between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain F.C., who advanced comfortably from their own tie.
