Missed Border 2 in theatres? Here’s when you can watch it on OTT

After a strong run at the box office, Border 2 is set to make its digital debut. The war drama, which released in theatres in January and went on to earn over ₹400 crore worldwide, will now stream on Netflix.

The announcement was made by Netflix on Thursday through a teaser video featuring the film’s iconic emotional tone, with the caption: “Chitthi ab Netflix aa gayi hai… Watch Border 2, out March 20, on Netflix.”

When and where to watch Border 2

Border 2 will begin streaming on Netflix from March 20. The film will be available to subscribers across regions, allowing those who missed it in theatres to watch it at home.



Directed by Anurag Singh and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Nidhi Dutta, JP Dutta and Krishan Kumar, the film serves as a standalone sequel to the 1997 classic Border.

The film features an ensemble cast led by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahaan Shetty, along with Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana in key roles.

Set against the backdrop of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, the story unfolds through multiple perspectives from the Army, Navy and Air Force — bringing together individual journeys tied by duty and conflict.

Record-breaking run and audience response

Border 2 received a positive response upon release and went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian war films, reportedly collecting ₹432 crore worldwide.

Reacting to the film’s success, Sunny Deol said during a press interaction, “Itne saal pata nahi kahan chhupa hua tha… I just want to say — work hard, love your profession, don’t get disheartened. Time is something you never know when it will come.”

Fans have also welcomed the OTT release, with many expressing excitement about rewatching the film on streaming platforms.
