A shocking incident of alleged revenge has been reported from Hyderabad, where a young man was arrested for injecting his HIV-positive blood into a woman after their planned marriage was cancelled.
According to police, the accused, 24-year-old Manohar, was engaged to marry a 22-year-old woman. However, the wedding was called off after the woman’s family asked him to undergo a medical test when they learned that his parents were HIV-positive. The test reportedly confirmed that Manohar was infected with HIV, following which the family decided not to proceed with the marriage.
Alleged revenge after marriage refusal
Police said the incident took place on the evening of March 11, when Manohar allegedly went to the woman’s house and tried to persuade her to reconsider the decision and marry him. When the woman refused again, he allegedly became angry and injected her with a syringe containing his own blood before fleeing the spot.
Soon after the incident, the woman developed a high fever, following which her family rushed her to a hospital for treatment. The family later lodged a complaint with the police.
