The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a notice about submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for the second Class 10 board exam. Students can check the details on the official website. The board has divided the LOC submission process into three phases.

The board has set a clear process to make everything smooth and organised. Students and schools are advised to follow the guidelines given on the official website.

CBSE has also raised concerns about some schools charging extra fees and explicitly stated that such issues would not be allowed.

Three phase submission process

CBSE has divided the LOC submission into three phases. In the first phase, only basic student details will be filled, and no fee is needed. This helps the board understand how many students may take the exam.

In the second and third phases, students can make changes like adding or dropping subjects or updating their details. The exam fee has to be paid in these stages to complete the process.

Submission through schools

The full process will be handled by the school where the student gave the main board exam. The school will take care of submitting details, making updates and confirming everything.

Rules on fees and participation

CBSE has clearly stated that if a student chooses not to appear for the second exam after submitting the form, their main exam performance will be considered for the final result.

The board has also warned schools against collecting any extra or unauthorised fees. Only the official examination fee mentioned in the LOC circular is allowed, and any violation will be taken seriously.

The new guidelines aim to make the second board exam process clear and fair for all students. The three-phase system also gives flexibility to make necessary changes.

What the official notice said

The Board said that after submitting the LOC and paying the exam fee, if a student decides not to appear for the second exam, their main exam marks will be used for the result. It also warned that some schools asking for extra fees like three months’ tuition is against CBSE rules and must stop immediately. CBSE clearly stated that only the official exam fee is allowed, and schools must not collect any extra or unauthorised charges. Any school breaking these rules will face strict action.

CBSE has taken a strict stand to make sure students are not forced to pay extra fees and that schools follow the rules properly.

Overall, these guidelines aim to keep the process fair and simple for students, while making sure schools stay within the rules.
