A social media post by Gaurav Taneja’s fitness brand Beast Life has garnered a number of reactions following its announcement of the “world’s first protein condom.”
The brand announced the new performance-enhancing innovation through an Instagram post on March 28. The post claimed that the condom would increase blood flow and circulation due to the amino acid L-arginine, which is related to protein synthesis. However, there is no verified information on the availability of such a product.

The caption of the Instagram post read, “We’re coming to upgrade your night performance.”
Internet turns it into a joke
The claim quickly drew widespread attention online, with users flooding the comments section with humour and disbelief.
Several users questioned whether the announcement was genuine or a build-up to an April Fool’s Day prank. Comments ranged from fitness-related puns to outright scepticism.
“First in my bloodline to witness protein condom,” one user wrote.
“Is this whey isolate or just regular?” another joked.
Others called it “an innovative solution to a non-existent problem.”
Some users also poked fun at the product’s supposed utility, asking whether it should be treated like a pre-workout or post-workout supplement, while others joked about its use in gyms.

As of now, Beast Life has neither confirmed nor denied whether the product is for real or simply a marketing ploy. The uncertainty has helped create more hype for the brand, considering April 1st is approaching.
The brand, founded by Taneja, is known for offering a variety of fitness supplements.
Not the first unconventional idea
The idea of the "protein condom" has garnered much interest, though not the first of its kind. Swedish brand LELO has introduced its HEX condom in Europe, which features an L-arginine-based lubricant.
Another example of a brand trying to introduce something different in the market is Billy Boy, a German brand that partnered with Innocean Berlin to come up with "Camdom," an app meant for preventing unauthorised recordings during intimate moments.
