A large shipment of KitKat bars went missing during transport. Even though such thefts are usually serious, this one became popular online as brands reacted creatively.

What actually happened
The stolen shipment included 4,13,793 KitKat bars, weighing around 12 tonnes. It was being transported from Central Italy to Poland when it disappeared. Authorities are currently investigating the case.
Brands join the joke
Domino's Pizza UK posted on X writing, âWe would like to share our thoughts and condolences with Kit Kat following their recent sad news. On a completely unrelated note, we're pleased to announce we'll now be selling a new Kit Kat pizza."

KFC also added saying, "sorry guys we were product testing for our 12th herb and spice". DoorDash also wrote: âHey guys, DoorDash here. Due to a completely random packaging error, we have 12 tons of KitKats in our DashMarts that we canât sell. The good news: all you have to do is go to your DoorDash app and add like 500-600 KitKats to your cart and this should resolve itself quickly. Thank you."

Creative posts grab attention
Ryanair also shared a funny edited image showing its aircraft âeatingâ KitKat bars, adding to the viral trend. Airline Ryanair also joined the trend by sharing a funny edited image of a plane that looked like it was eating KitKat bars stuffed in its human like mouth and nose.
Kerala Tourism joins the fun trend by posting an official statement on X saying,â We've been informed about the missing shipment of KitKats. KitKat responds officially
Official Statement read âWe can confirm that 12T of KitKat products were stolen while in transit between our factory in Central Italy and their destination in Poland. We are working closely with local authorities and supply chain partners to investigate. The good news: there are no concerns for consumer safety, and supply is not affected. Thank you.â
