Far-right political activist Laura Loomer has said she will travel to India this week to speak at the India Today Conclave 2026.
“See you soon, India! Looking forward to speaking at the India Today Conclave 2026 conference this week!” she said in a X post.
Loomer has built a reputation in American political circles as a combative voice on the far right. She is widely known for her hardline anti-immigration stance, anti-Muslim rhetoric, and a string of conspiracy theories.

Who is Laura Loomer?
Born on May 21, 1993, in Tucson, Arizona, Loomer studied broadcast journalism at Barry University. She later became associated with right-wing media and activist platforms such as Project Veritas, Rebel News and InfoWars.
Over the years, she gained attention through her inflammatory commentary. Like she has openly called herself a “proud Islamophobe”. She has also promoted conspiracy theories, including the claim that the 9/11 attacks were an “inside job” orchestrated by the US government.

Her political ambitions have included two bids for Congress in Florida as a Republican candidate. In 2020, she ran in Florida’s 21st congressional district but was defeated by Democrat Lois Frankel. Two years later, she entered a Republican primary race but lost to Daniel Webster.
She has repeatedly called for the elimination of the visa programme, arguing that it allows foreign workers, particularly Indian professionals in the technology sector, to take jobs from Americans.
Loomer has also targeted prominent Indian-origin figures in US public life and the technology industry. She criticised the appointment of Sriram Krishnan as Donald Trump’s AI adviser, arguing that it symbolised outsourcing and foreign worker influence in American policy.
During the 2024 US presidential campaign, Loomer wrote on X that if Kamala Harris defeated Trump, “the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center.”
